59 rural students from Thane get golden opportunity to visit ISRO; Deputy CM Eknath Shinde felicitates them

Fifty-nine meritorious students from the rural areas of Thane district have been given a rare chance to visit the headquarters of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The programme was organised by Thane Rural MLA Rajan Bhoir, who identified the students’ talent and helped turn their dream into reality. On 12 August 2024, the students were taken on a tour of ISRO’s Bengaluru headquarters, where they closely observed various aspects of space science and technology.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde felicitated the students on the occasion and wished them a bright future. He said such initiatives boost the confidence of children in rural areas and enable them to contribute to the nation’s development. Shinde encouraged the students to pursue careers in science and technology. During the visit, the students also met ISRO scientists and listened to their experiences.
