Thiruvananthapuram, June 1, 2026: Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram, V.V. Rajesh, inaugurated the distribution of school bags, books, and study materials under the newly launched ‘Mayor Care’ initiative by the city corporation on Saturday. Speaking during the inauguration, Mayor Rajesh highlighted that the initiative was conceptualized after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumed control of the corporation. The programme was designed to integrate political leadership, employees, and sectoral experts to formulate five-year plans and leverage resources from well-wishers to enhance the effectiveness of civic body activities.
