New Delhi, June 14: Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Jitan Ram Manjhi, chaired a high-level review meeting in New Delhi today to assess the progress and future course of the ongoing Khadi Mahotsav 2024. The event, organized by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), aims to promote khadi products, support rural artisans, and boost sales during the festive and summer seasons.
During the meeting, Manjhi emphasized the need to increase awareness about khadi and enhance its market reach through digital platforms and e-commerce integration. He directed KVIC officials to expedite the onboarding of khadi producers onto government e-marketplaces and ensure timely delivery of raw materials to artisans. The minister also stressed the importance of branding and marketing initiatives to make khadi a preferred choice among younger consumers.
