Hyderabad, 13 June: Telangana Police aur Intelligence Bureau ki saath milkar ki gayi ek joint operation mein Medchal-Malkajgiri district se 22 saal ke ek UP ke aadmi ko Pakistan-based extremist organisations ke saath judi reet ke aarop mein girftar kiya gaya. Arrested person, Mohammed Wasim naam ka hai, us par ilzaam hai ki woh local operatives aur Pakistan mein baithe handlers ke beech communication facilitate kar raha tha.
Police sources ke mutabik, Wasim online platforms ke zariye youth ko radicalise karne mein active tha aur kuch mahino se us par nazar rakhi ja rahi thi. Uske arrest ke peeche encrypted messages aur propaganda material jaise digital evidence ka milna hai. Police ne kaha hai ki Wasim ne Pakistan mein baithe handlers se financial support aur operational guidance lene ki baat qabool ki hai.
