New Delhi, May 28, 2026 — The upcoming Kazipet Rail Manufacturing Unit of Indian Railways is on track for completion and will begin production of around 200 intercity trains over the next five years, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced today. Speaking to the media after reviewing operational plans for the Kazipet facility in New Delhi, Vaishnaw was joined by Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu and senior railway officials.
