Congress will not tolerate sycophancy or showmanship for tickets: Rahul Gandhi issues strict instructions to district presidents

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi has once again made it clear that there is no room for sycophancy or showmanship in the distribution of party tickets. Addressing district presidents from across the country at a recent camp, he stressed that the party’s faith lies in "penance" (hard work), not superficial glamour, and issued strict instructions to strengthen ground-level efforts.

In his address, Rahul Gandhi stated that the Congress will only grant tickets to those who have consistently worked hard and remain active among the people. He emphasised that the party’s goal is not merely to win elections but to serve the people. “What matters to us is that our team consists of individuals who live among the people, understand their issues, and work for their betterment,” he said.
