Shivamogga, Karnataka – A delegation of residents from Shivamogga district, accompanied by former state minister K.S. Eshwarappa, converged in the city on Tuesday to voice strong opposition to the proposed ₹10,240 crore Sharavathi Pumped Storage Project. The meeting was held with Sunil Limaye, a member of the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) appointed by the Supreme Court, who was in Shivamogga to assess the project’s environmental and ecological implications.
