A bag stuffed with currency notes worth ₹1.22 crore was found in a train traveling from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, to Delhi. As soon as the information reached the police, a team rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.
A passenger traveling in the train spotted the bag in a moving coach and immediately informed the train staff. Upon opening the bag, the staff discovered stacks of currency notes inside. According to the police, the bag contained ₹1.22 crore in denominations of ₹2,000, ₹500, and ₹200. The notes were meticulously packed, suggesting the bag may have been deliberately left behind.
During the investigation, police have yet to trace the owner of the bag. Authorities suspect the case could be linked to a larger crime.
