Four bright students from government pre-university (PU) colleges in Karnataka have been chosen to participate in the highly competitive ‘Sakura Science Program 2026’ in Japan, marking a significant achievement in fostering scientific curiosity and international exposure among young learners.
The selected students are Ashwitha K.H. from Government PU College, Shringeri; Rohith D.S. from Government PU College, Arasikere; Namratha Bai from Adarsha Government PU College, K.R. Nagar; and Akash Uday Harikant from Government PU College, Kumta town. These students will travel to Japan from May 24 to May 30, 2026, for the programme, which is designed to broaden intellectual horizons and promote scientific exploration among high school students.
