A water tank constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Kullon village, located about 50 km from Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh, has come under scrutiny due to serious quality concerns. After nearly seven years of being under construction, the tank began leaking from its walls and structure as soon as water was filled for the first time. Villagers allege that the tank, built at a cost of nearly ₹3 crore, has technical flaws that are the result of corruption. The situation became so severe that water filled a house near the tank, submerging the entire home. Following this, the administration has attempted repairs by filling the tank with a cement solution.
