To tackle traffic issues in Jaipur, the Traffic Police has rolled out a new initiative. The primary goal is to strictly enforce traffic rules at major intersections and narrow lanes across the city. According to police officials, special teams will be deployed daily from 8 AM to 10 PM to penalize violators.
Under this new plan, the e-challan system will be tightened further. The Traffic Police has stated that digital challans will now be issued to enhance transparency and reduce corruption. Additionally, the number of CCTV cameras at several key junctions will be increased to make it easier to identify traffic offenders.
The campaign was inaugurated by Jaipur’s Police Commissioner, Ravi Gautam. He highlighted that growing vehicle numbers and shrinking road space have turned traffic congestion into a major challenge. Through this initiative, the police aim to raise awareness among residents about traffic rules, ensuring safer and more organized travel.
