The Directorate of Dairy Farming Research (DFR), under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in Pune, will organize World Bee Day 2026. The primary aim of this event is to raise awareness about the critical role bees play in ecosystems and human life. DFR officials emphasized that bees not only play a vital role in crop pollination but also contribute significantly to maintaining biodiversity.
World Bee Day is celebrated annually on May 20, but this year, DFR will host a special event in 2026. The event will educate farmers, students, scientists, and the general public about the benefits of beekeeping and modern techniques.
