Two significant incidents were reported in Maharashtra on Saturday. First, Pune’s famous Sarasbaug Garden will remain closed to the public on Sunday and Monday, i.e., April 14 and 15, 2024. Authorities have stated that maintenance and beautification work will be carried out during this period. Sarasbaug Garden, a historic and popular garden located in the heart of Pune city, is frequented by locals and tourists alike. Officials have appealed to the public to avoid visiting the garden during these two days.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police have successfully apprehended the accused in a murder case. According to sources, the accused fled the crime scene in Mumbai and reached Gujarat. After continuous surveillance and investigation, police teams arrested the accused from Ahmedabad. The accused is alleged to have murdered a person in Mumbai before fleeing the city. Police have registered a case against the accused under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other relevant sections. The accused is being brought to Mumbai and will be produced before a magistrate for judicial custody.
