A horrifying incident of mob violence unfolded in Gujarat’s Dahod district on Tuesday, where a woman was targeted over baseless witchcraft accusations. According to local reports, an enraged mob gathered outside the home of Manubhai Ramjibhai Damor and his wife, forcing them to leave the village immediately. When Manubhai resisted and tried to protect his wife, the situation escalated, resulting in his death.
The attack reportedly took place in Khapar village, where villagers had allegedly spread rumours accusing the woman of practising witchcraft. Eyewitnesses stated that the mob, which included several villagers, became aggressive and started hurling abuses at the couple. Manubhai, a resident of the village, attempted to intervene and calm the situation, but the mob turned violent. In the ensuing chaos, Manubhai suffered fatal injuries and later succumbed to his wounds while being rushed to a nearby hospital.
