New Delhi, June 1, 2026: Residents of the national capital, Delhi, can expect more rain, partly cloudy skies, and below-normal maximum temperatures over the next few days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather department has forecasted these conditions to persist until June 4, offering some respite from the scorching summer heat.
On Sunday, the Safdarjung weather station, which serves as the city’s representative observatory, recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius. This reading was 4.2 degrees below the normal maximum temperature for this time of the year. The minimum temperature on the same day was 23.3 degrees Celsius, which is 3.6 degrees below the normal minimum temperature. These figures indicate that Delhi has been experiencing relatively cooler conditions compared to typical summer norms.
