The deceased have been identified as Rajesh Kumar (32) and Arvind Singh (45), while the seriously injured person is Suresh Patil (50). They have been admitted to the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital in Mumbai. Hospital sources have stated that their condition is stable but serious. The incident occurred near Vile Parle, on the Mumbai suburban railway tracks. Locals have reported that the accident took place around 12:30 pm. It is alleged that the train was derailed due to illegal construction materials placed on the side of the tracks, causing the train to go off the rails.
