In the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, a young man’s obsession with gaining social media followers backfired when he entered the cabin of a railway engine at Saidpur Bhitari station, stripped to his waist, and filmed a reel that quickly went viral. Following the video’s spread, railway authorities took strict action, arresting the man and sending him to jail.
Confirming the incident, Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Railway, stated that immediate action was taken after the video surfaced online. During the investigation, it was revealed that the young man had entered the engine cabin of a train stationed at Saidpur Bhitari, part of the Varanasi division, without authorization. His sole purpose was to become famous and increase his social media following. The engine cabin is a restricted and highly sensitive area, accessible only to authorised railway personnel.
