The incident occurred on the Dhulia highway between the villages of Uva and Manekpur in Bardoli taluka during the early hours. After a violent head-on collision between two buses, a Gujarat State Transport (GST) bus overturned and burst into flames. The explosion-like sound that followed sent panic rippling through the area.
According to preliminary reports, seven passengers have died in the crash, while several others sustained serious injuries. The death toll may rise further as many passengers remain in critical condition. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Rescue teams worked tirelessly to douse the flames, bringing the situation under control. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Bardoli for post-mortem examination.
