The Ministry of AYUSH in India has recently suggested four simple yoga asanas to help people overcome daily fatigue and stress. Practising these yoga movements daily not only eases physical tiredness but also brings mental peace. Experts say that sitting for long hours at work or engaging in physical labour can cause stiffness in the neck, shoulders, and lower back. In such cases, adopting these yoga asanas regularly can provide relief.
The four key yoga asanas recommended by the Ministry of AYUSH are Trunk Twisting, Knee Movement, Shoulder Movement, and Neck Movement. In Trunk Twisting, the spine is twisted, which improves the digestive system and relaxes the back muscles. Knee Movement involves moving the legs, helping to release tension in the lower limbs. Shoulder Movement reduces stiffness in the shoulders, while Neck Movement provides relief from neck pain and stress. While performing these movements, one should focus on slow motion and deep breathing.
