The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a major decision following the controversy surrounding the Class 12 On-Screen Marking (OSM) process. The Cabinet Secretariat has removed the CBSE Chairperson and Secretary from their positions. This decision comes amid concerns about the OSM process for Class 12, difficulties faced by students in accessing scanned copies of their answer sheets, and delays in the re-evaluation process. Additionally, the Cabinet Secretariat has constituted a one-member committee to investigate the CBSE Class 12 OSM tendering process. The committee will be headed by senior IAS officer S Radha Chauhan.
